My 20 Seconds of Re!gn Fame…

Well, looks like my rantings and ravings have finally paid off, at least in some small way.

Today my attention was brought to the homepage of Fortyeight.net’s Re!gn (screenshot here).

As you may or may not know, I played Re!gn for several months, and became horridly addicted to it (as do most of the players), but very quickly got burned out (as is true with most addictions of this type). Not only did I get burned out from the huge amount of time I was putting into playing the game, but also from some of the less than professional coding practices of the management of said game. When I decided to leave for good, I posted a final rant on my Re!gn Tools website, outlining some of the changes I thought needed to be made to the game before it truly became successful (or before it lost its following entirely).

A few nights ago, I got a chat invite from Ty, one of the founders and operators of Reign, which I didn’t get until the following morning before I left for work. Unfortunately, I closed the window and later totally forgot about it, until I saw the Re!gn login screen this afternoon, which seemed to shed some light on the matter. It’s nice to see that at least someone has heard my requests (erm, demands) and met them, and that I’ve gotten my 20 seconds of Re!gn fame…

UPDATE: BTW, thanks to Chrissy for pointing out the Re!gn page. And Ty, I love the 48 logo… I’ll try not to steal it from you… ;)

so, does that mean you will be coming back to reign? =P

Well, if you’d been around on IRC lately, you’d know… yes, this has convinced me to jump back on the Re!gn bandwagon to check out some of these changes. I’m not planning on staing long-term, but at least for this half-month round coming up…

It should prove interesting with all the changes made since I called it quits.
